Guanaco is a member of the Camalid Family and lives in the Andes. The Guanaco is a smaller version of the llama with very fine and soft wool. I have it in two natural colors the fawn and cinnamon. The fiber spins up easily and will make very warm garments for you to wear. I like to ply the gunaco with silk to give it extra strength and to make it go further without losing the beauty of the guanaco fiber. I spin the fiber so I get a little of 250 yards of singles out of an ounce, enough to do a nice size scarf.
